NYSDFS April Deadline Approaching
For organizations that are subject to the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS) regulations, this is a reminder that all covered entities need to report on their compliance status by April 15th each year.
With the amendment that went into effect in 2024, your annual certification requires that one of two new forms be submitted, depending on your compliance status. These new forms include a Certification of Material Compliance or an Acknowledgement of Noncompliance.
Also, a reminder that exemptions must be requested and approved prior to certification. If you qualify for a Limited Exemption, you must still certify annually. If you qualify for a Full Exemption, you must still submit your Notice of Exemption annually.
