ROLE OVERVIEW
The Cybersecurity Specialist plays a central role in the delivery of all cybersecurity services to our customers. The Cybersecurity Specialist will conduct risk and compliance assessments, run vulnerability scans, monitor customer environments for threats and intrusions, respond to incidents, write policies and react to customer support requests. The Cybersecurity Specialist will manage platforms and tools, perform analysis, and execute various tasks in many areas of cybersecurity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development, deployment and delivery of all cybersecurity services
- Configuration and management of all platforms and tools
- Triage and response to customer support requests
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluency with Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluency working in Microsoft Windows
- Expertise in time management, prioritization, and organization skills
- Focus on details
- Excellence in all communication skills
- Passion for helping small businesses succeed in cybersecurity
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in a cybersecurity role
- Relevant cybersecurity, productivity and technology certifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- 1 to 3 years of experience with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
- 1 to 3 years of experience with cybersecurity tools
- 1 to 3 years of experience with cybersecurity documentation, including policies, plans and procedures
WORK LOCATION
We believe being together in the office is a critical part of creating the out-of-this-world culture here at OrbitalFire. To that end, we have a hybrid schedule. We expect all members of the team to be in the office 3 or more days a week in our Troy, NY office. Please only apply if you are comfortable commuting to our offices on this schedule.
